The Razor or The Brush… You Choose. From Steven Phillips
The Razor or The Brush… You Choose. From Steven Phillips
Today, I am setting you before a large, blank canvas. In front of the canvas you will find a razor and a brush. You must now choose one of these. If you choose the razor, the result will be that your canvas will be cut to pieces. If you choose the brush, it will be used to paint the future I desire for you.
But beware! It will NOT be so easy for you to choose correctly. So, I will tell you this in advance… Because of your new beliefs, to you, the razor will look like a brush, but the brush will look as though it is a razor. You will ask me, “How can we choose if we cannot trust our own eyes?” And, I will answer you and say, “My ways are NOT your ways, and my thoughts are not your thoughts.”
You have “conditioned” your eyes to see things differently than I see them. The “Worship of Money” has done this to you. You can no longer see how much this has clouded your vision. You refuse to see how much this occupies your every thought. It influences every decision you make. Yet, you cry out daily, “How is it that we worship money seeing that we have no riches left?”
You know this isn’t true. You still consume more than any of the other children at my table.
You choose to live with a slave mentality, like the children of Israel who came out of Egypt with great wealth, herds of livestock, and many flocks. I listened to their grumblings, and they sounded like yours today, continually saying, “We are going to an unknown future! How will we be fed out in a desert?” All the while, your baskets are overflowing like theirs were with riches that I provided. And, like them, you have not even shared these riches amongst yourselves! Have you forgotten the One who has given you all of this increase? You have not used this bounty to feed the poor, as I have asked you to do. Even your own labours who have worked through the heat of the day, still go without.
Yet you listen to those whose baskets are the fullest – who share their grain with no one! They say, “I am rich. I have need of nothing. No one will notice. Nothing will ever bring me low.” I tell you this, their money is stained with tears and the smell of the sweat of others. If you Worship the success of those who hold the biggest baskets, who share nothing in common with my vision, how is it that you hope to end up in the place I have promised to you? Their end should be obvious to you! “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.”
So listen, in this season of choosing, and learn My ways. Between the lands of slavery and promise, there is always a desert. To make it through a desert together, you must learn to trust. Trust is always made perfect when you share. Sharing in times of uncertainty proves your trust in Me. If you cannot trust Me with these matters, which are the least important, how shall I trust you with the True Riches?
I see you in the streets, shouting! “Money is most important!!! There is not enough to go around! We must hold on to what little we have!” Consider this… a harlot sells her dignity for money. How blind you have become! No matter what your leaders do, you strut behind them like a band of harlots. Now, the most brazen harlot among you leads your parade!
Why have you sold yourself for so little a price? Is it not because you are afraid of being in lack? Have I ever left you with nothing to eat before? Or, have you forgotten… with Me… there is never any lack. I have fed you, but when I was hungry, you didn’t offer to feed me. I have clothed you, Yet, you leave me naked. I accepted you into my own house, but you leave me out in the cold. I visited you when you were in prison, but you leave Me to rot in a cell. You coyly ask Me, “When” – even when you know the answer – when you didn’t do it for the least of those around you… you didn’t do it for Me.
I am sick of the disguises you have used to hide your sins. You love to proclaim, “We would love to stop the sins of others!!! God will see our devotion!!!” That is your greatest sin. Have I ever asked you to judge others? Have I asked you to make others conform to how you think?” In fact, you judge others hoping to deflect the light from yourselves.
Therefore, understand this, the Fear of Lack is a disguise for the Worship of Money – because both have the same root – whatever you put your trust in is your true God!
It is time for you to finally accept that I look after the whole world – never just one nation, alone. I care for all races – for all people. Do you? If you don’t, then your vision is NOT Mine!
The future I have planned for you has always been inextricably tied to my vision for the whole world. If I bring them to you, will you turn them away? Will you do this simply because you are afraid? Is your vision truly Mine? Will you work along side me yet bear none of the pain… none of the expense… none of the load. The whole world is afraid except for those who put their trust in Me. And the day is finally upon you to understand that… without My vision… you have no future at all.
If you want my future for you, then you will have to trust Me, which in your case right now will be as a blind person trusts another to lead them and to see for them. I know this will be difficult for you. But, how can you choose your own path when you cannot see unless you align yourself with My vision? It is written down for you, but you live by your own words now. Go and look again at My records. See what is truly important to Me. Do not add anything to it. Just see what I have said…This will still be difficult for you. So, then, take my hand and choose to let Me walk you out of the darkness that has overtaken you.
Others will try to distract you to see something other than my vision. Listen closely, and you will hear the jingle of money hidden in their purses. Are they living according to My vision? They have used their words to corral you. They are satisfied with fleecing just the few sheep that they feel they have now in their sheep pens. They care nothing about those who are outside who are cold, hungry, and in need. Do they seem to care anything for those who have nothing to give them? Will you be like one of them? Is this what I have called you to worship? A fleecing?
Being a shepherd has more to do with providing and protecting than it does with fleecing. Is that what they do? For whom do they seem most eager to provide? Do you live in a house like theirs? Do you drive a car similar to theirs? Do you find their words of today written in any of the records written of Me? Do you understand that, whatever is missing – is missing for a reason.
But you say,”If I leave the sheep pen, who will watch over me?” Have I not been the One watching over you the whole while? Have I not been the one who has kept you from being fleeced too closely? And, yet, you are bleeding because your coat is cut too closely. You have never asked the question if the danger from within is not more dangerous than the danger from without. And, didn’t I say that there would come a time when I would call to you to, “Come out”?
So, I will give to you a sign for this season – I will once again shield you from a great calamity. When you see this, you will speak again of Me and ask, “Will God’s grace continue to shield us forever?”
Then you will be asked to choose. This is a time of great trusting. I am calling out to many to trust Me – in spite of what others may say.
